According to BOCHK, the bank will apply cross-border credit reference to different personal banking scenarios, and submit verified personal credit reports from the mainland through customers to more accurately assess their repayment ability, so as to optimize the credit approval process and improve the approval efficiency, and customers have the opportunity to obtain better credit conditions.

It is understood that in October 2025, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the People's Bank of China decided to regularize the "cross-border credit exchange" business on the basis of the previous pilot to facilitate cross-border financing for enterprises and individuals from the two places.
